JOB SUMMARY
 

We are looking for a versatile and hard-working laborer. Must be capable of using common construction machines and tools, and knowledgeable of everyday safety techniques and practices.

  • Job hours are typically Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm.

  • Overtime is available as needed per job.

  • This position is an at-will, hourly position.

  • We offer competitive pay, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

-Dig trenches and holes

-Load and unload equipment, material, job site debris and maintain housekeeping according to Ross and Co.’s safety standards and procedures

-Perform construction work on job sites throughout our service territory.

-Use and maintain various hand and power tools and equipment

-Follow the direction of their foreman and/or supervisor at all times

-Must be able to read and comply with all required company standards and procedures

-Must have a positive attitude and be a team player

-Must work with integrity at all times

-Must work safely at all times as defined by Ross and Co.’s safety standards and procedures

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

-Must be at least 18 years of age

-Must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

-Must possess and maintain a valid Arkansas Driver's License

-Ability to work in all types of weather extremes

-Ability to drive safely in all weather and road conditions

-Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays, and various work schedules as needed

-Ability to travel and transfer to a new job site upon request at any time

-Must be able to maneuver on steep and/or uneven terrain

-Must be able to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

-Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds over uneven terrain, and/or up stairways and ladders

-Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 pounds a minimum of one time a day

-Must be able to work in a confined space and in elevated areas

-Must be able to perform work tasks from ladders, platforms, metal grating, scaffolds and/or ropes

-Must be able to work with and/or around bodies of water 

 

Required Prior Experience:

-Demonstrated experience with basic hand and power tools used in the commercial construction industry
